Your baby's newborn days are beautifully brief. Newborn photography preserve this once in a lifetime chapter. These images will serve as a lasting reminder of just how small they once were and how much love filled those first days.
When is the best time to book a session?
As a newborn photographer, I get asked often, when is the best time to do a newborn session? How do you get them to sleep?
The first two weeks of a baby's life are often considered the ideal time for a newborn photography session. During this period, babies are generally sleepier and can be posed in those adorable, curled- up positions. The benefits of a session during this time include sleepy poses, flexibility, and minimal movement. If your baby is past the two week mark don't despair. Each stage of baby's development brings its own unique charm and opportunities for beautiful photographs. Here's why a session within the first two months is still incredibly special.
These portraits become a reminder of where your story began. They capture a season that passes far too quickly and preserve it in a way that only photography can. One day, these fingers will hold pencils, climb playgrounds, and wave goodbye as they head off to school.

Sleepy cozy newborn
Can I still book a newborn session if my baby has already arrived?
Yes, you can always reach out, even if you didn't plan ahead. It is never too late to have these days captured.
Awake and alert babies provide an opportunity to capture their developing personalities, smiles, and bright eyes. As they grow, babies start to exhibit a wider range of adorable facial expressions. Older babies are so sweet to capture. They won't ever be this small again. Make sure to capture this beautiful time.
While I love to schedule sessions in baby’s first two weeks - mostly because by week three, baby has already grown and changed A LOT! - sometimes baby arrives early or late so please don't worry about missing the 14-day window for newborn photos. My style of posed newborn photography is flexible and baby led. It is never too late to book.
This little cutie is 3 months old. Meet Kaylee. Isn't she precious???

Little Miss Kaylee can't get any cuter !! EEK!
Kaylee didn't want to miss a thing. She was alert and so curious. She didn't want to sleep, but I was able to get her to take a little nap by wrapping her all cozy. I have a few techniques to get them to sleep. We got beautiful images, with loads of cuteness.
